The first trailer for the upcoming film, Green Book has been released. The film stars Academy Award winner, Mahershala Ali, who the film had been passion project for quite awhile. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ali stated,
“Green Book was a project that I kept thinking about after I had read it,” . “If you look at these two archetypes [in films], it’s so often the black guy is serving as some sort of grounding force and reality check who’s coming from a low-income or working-class environment, for the wealthier, more affluent character.”
“I really responded to the fact that it was flipped on its head the way that it was, and the fact that it was based on a real relationship.”
Green Book also stars Academy Award nominee Vigo Mortensen and is sure to cause excitement when the film releases this fall.
