Gal Gadot is set to transition from one iconic character to another. Deadline has first reported that Gal Gadot is set to play the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White.

Snow White is one of the many Disney live-action adaptations currently in the works, with this one in particular in the works for  the past five years. Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) is directing the film with production expected to kick off in 2022. Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) is set to play Snow White, with Webb commenting on the casting,

Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gits. Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the pair behind La La LandThe Greatest Showman, and Dear Evan Hansen, are on board to write new songs for the film which surely will add to the excitement for the release.
