Flashpoint Will Tie In With Shazam!

It is no surprised that DC Films has been quite vocal about its upcoming slate of films, but the latest rumor may shed some light on the future of some of its characters. According to a report by Movie Hole, Shazam! will be affected somehow by Flashpoint. The website shared a piece this week which lays out several details about Shazam! The film will have two actors playing its lead role thanks to its dual-natured hero. However, it looks like Barry Allen may also pop into the film or at least be referenced.

The report confirms that Flashpoint may indeed mess with Shazam! The report stated,

“Speaking of “The Flash”, it would seem the time-altering antics in his debut flick “Flashpoint” will have an effect on this one – and other DC films – but remains to be seen just how much,” . “Fun idea to have the new crop of DC films find themselves slightly modified by the speedster’s actions.”

At this point in time, it’s hard to imagine how both films will be connected. However, the way the DCEU has been progressing, nothing really shocks me. The Flash’s standalone was meant to debut in 2018, but those plans have since changed. The film’s loss of two directors pushed Flashpoint back, leaving the film slated to release in 2020, which means it will be quite awhile before we know how true this rumor really is.
