The Fast & Furious franchise is constantly expanding as the original series of films heads into its ninth installment. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham have their Hobbs and Shaw spinoff coming this summer and now it has been announced that the rumored female-led spinoff is actually happening.
Series staple Vin Diesel announced a trio of new screenwriters who are tackling the project in a post on his Instagram that can be viewed below:
The three new writers listed by Diesel who will work on the upcoming spin-off have worked on some of Marvel’s big-budget adventures, which includes Nicole Perlman (Captain Marvel, Black Widow), Lindsey Beer (Silver Sable), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel, Silver Sable).
