AMC has renewed two of its series for fifth seasons. Fear The Walking Dead & Better Call Saul will be returning to the network.
Fear The Walking Dead finds out about its renewal ahead of the August 12 premiere for the second half of its fourth season. The season 4 midseason finale shocker ended with the loss of original cast member Madison Clark (Kim Dickens). This season also marked the first crossover between Fear and its spin-off companion series The Walking Dead when Morgan (Lennie James) joined the cast.
In other renewal news, Better Call Saul will be returning as well. The announcement comes ahead of its season 4 premiere and its recent appearance at San Diego Comic-Con. Better Call Saul joins Fear the Walking Dead and McMafia in AMC’s slate of renewed shows announced at TCA.
Season three of the Breaking Bad prequel spin-off ranked as the number 5 cable drama among adults 25-54. The series also recently garnered a 2018 Peabody Award, and, over three seasons, has earned 23 Emmy nominations, three Golden Globe nominations, two Writers Guild Awards, three Critics’ Choice Awards, a Television Critics Association Award and two AFI Awards for “TV Programs of the Year,” among many other Guild nominations.
