After the announcement that Extraction was on track to be the most viewed Netflix Original Film of all time, with an estimated 90 million households tuning into the film since its April 24 release, the adventure is set to continue! As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Russo has closed a deal to write a sequel to the Netflix action film.

The Avengers director wrote the script for the first installment and produced it with his brother Anthony via their AGBO banner.  No word on whether Sam Hargrave, a Marvel stunt coordinator who directed the first film will return for the sequel.

Extraction is based on a  2014 graphic novel Ciudad.
