Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle is heading to the small screen. The trailer for the upcoming Netflix series The Eddy was released on Tuesday. The series was created by Jack Thorne, Alan Poul, Glen Ballard, and Chazelle serving as the director on the first two episodes.
André Holland, Joanna Kulig, Amandla Stenberg, Leila Bekhti, and Tahar Rahim star in The Eddy — a limited series set in Paris, featuring new music from Glen Ballard, and directed by Damien Chazelle.

The premise of The Eddy “follows Andre Holland as the owner of a jazz club in Paris who’s trying to get his business out of debt and away from some shady characters while also reconnecting with his estranged daughter (Amandla Stenberg). The strong cast also includes Joanna Kulig (Cold War) and Tahar Rahim.”
The Eddy premieres on May 8th.
