Ewan McGregor is joining the Birds of Prey. The actor has signed on to play the villainous Black Mask in the DC spinoff starring Margot Robbie, who is returning as Harley Quinn.
Black Mask is a Gotham City mob boss aka Roman Sionis who leads the False Face Society gang. In the comics, he killed his wealthy parents in order to take control of their corporation, but he was a terrible businessman and lost everything. He blames others for his shortcomings with Bruce Wayne being one of his targets.
McGregor joins Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress while Jurnee Smollett-Bell will play Black Canary. It was also reported that Rosie Perez is playing Renee Montoya. A few days ago it was also revealed that Birds of Prey will also be rated-R which got plenty of fans excited.
