Doom Patrol (Season 2 Trailer)

DC Universe’s Doom Patrol is back for a second season but it has been freshly rebranded as an HBO Max original series. The new trailer is clearly targeted to initiating new viewers while also enticing fans of the first season.

Doom Patrol emerged a critical hit for the DC Universe streaming service and it also developed a pretty passionate fanbase. The series features the self-dubbed “DC’s strangest group of heroes that includes Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man, (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Cyborg (Jovian Wade). Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race track. It is here where they begin dealing with their feelings of betrayal at the hands of Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while also confronting their own personal baggage. They also must embrace and protect the newest member of their offbeat family, Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter. Her powers remain mysterious but possess a real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

The first three episodes of Doom Patrol season 2 arrive on HBO Max on Thursday, June 25. A new weekly episode will follow for the following six weeks while season 1 will be available on both DC Universe and HBO Max.
