MGM Exploring Sale of Studio

One of the most well-known studios of all time may be making a huge change. MGM has sought the aid of two investment banks to help with a formal sale of the company.

As first reported by Deadline, one of the main reasons it has taken so long is because a proper price for MGM had proven difficult to find. In looking at MGM’s catalog, it’s become clear that while the studio doesn’t have the massive scale that others have built throughout the years, the studio’s classic films prove to be a big selling point of the studio.

Whatever studio purchases MGM, they will be owners of some of the best and influential films of all time.
