One would assume that live adaptations of Disney classic animated films would be a terrible idea. As a matter of fact, it sure sounded like one. However, with the success of Cinderella and the critical and financial success of 2016’s The Jungle Book, it is safe to say Disney knows what they are doing.
The first full-length trailer of their latest entry, Beauty and the Beast, premiered this past Monday and based on the trailer alone, many are already expecting Beauty and the Beast to be another big hit for Disney. In fact, the film has already made history.
The new trailer had a total of 127.6 million views around the world in the 24 hours after its premiere, which is more than any other trailer in history. It broke the record, beating out the trailers for Fifty Shades Darker and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
