Death Is Just An App Away In New Countdown Poster

Just about anything can become a film. The most flimsy of premises based on the most mundane things are up for grabs and that seems to be the case with the upcoming STX Entertainment release, Countdown. Death is only an app away in this latest horror effort and now we have been greeted with a brand new poster for the film.

“Death? There’s an app for that.” This is what we’re working with in writer/director Justin Dec’s film which finds a young nurse (Elizabeth Lail) downloading an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die. Things become dire when it tells her she only has three days to live and now it’s a race against time to save her life.

The poster does look pretty cool and perhaps Countdown will check your brain at the door entertainment that is perfect for this time of year but I fear what cell phone terror comes next. Killer Bumble perhaps?

Countdown hits screens on October 25. Check out the new poster art below.
