David Duchovny Joins Reboot Of The Craft

David Duchovny is set to join the witching hour. It has been announced that The X-Files actor has joined the reboot of The Craft.

Duchovny joins the already announced cast of Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, and Nicholas Galitzine. No exact word on who he will be playing but Duchovny is a big enough name to ensure that this will not be a throwaway role.

The reboot is executive produced, directed & written by Zoe Lister-Jones, with Blumhouse & Sony handling the release. The original 1996 film starred Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Christine Taylor, Rachel True, and Skeet Ulrich & it followed a newcomer at a Catholic prep high school who falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and wage curses against those who tick them off.

In addition to the X-files Duchovny, a two-time Golden Globe winner is known for his role as Hank Moody on Showtime’s Californication. He also has directed several episodes of X-Files, Californication, Aquarius and Bones, and made his feature directorial debut with the 2004 film House of D which he wrote and starred in with Robin Williams, Tea Leoni, Anton Yelchin and Frank Langella.
