Code Black Opens Lower At CBS On Wednesday

The little engine that could known as Code Black (it has somehow made it three seasons despite so-so ratings) returned lower for its season three premiere on CBS.

On CBS, The show drew a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.56 million viewers, down from 1.2 for its fall 2016 premiere (it averaged 1.0 last season). SEAL Team (0.8, 6.31 million viewers) was also down vs. its last episode, falling two-tenths of a point.

On FOX, Empire scored a 1.7 demo rating and 5.26 million viewers, keeping it steady week to week. Star followed and fell a tenth to a 1.2 demo rating and 3.84 million viewers.

On ABC, A pair of Alex, Inc. episodes came in at 0.7 demo rating and 2.97 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating and 2.48 million viewers. Designated Survivor ended their night and slipped to a series-low 0.5 demo rating and 3.87 million viewers.

On The CW, Riverdale (0.4, 1.15 million viewers) and The Originals (0.4, 1.04 million viewers) were both even with last week.

On NBC, The Blacklist was the only show to not air a repeat and it scored a 0.8 demo rating and 5.22 million viewers, even with last week.
