CMA Awards Hit New Low On ABC

Despite easily winning the night for ABC on Wednesday, the CMA Awards fell considerably year to year.

On ABC, the awards hit an all-time low this year with a 2.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 10.06 million viewers, down over a full point from the 3.2 that last year’s CMAs had posted and over four million in total viewers.

On FOX, Empire (1.4, 4.90 million viewers) fell a tenth, and Star maintained a 1.1 demo rating and 3.70 million viewers.

On CBS, Survivor was down two-tenths to a 1.4 demo score and 7.19 million viewers, while SEAL Team (0.8, 5.18 million viewers) and Criminal Minds (0.7, 4.50 million viewers) each slipped a tenth.

On The CW, Wednesday is becoming one of their steadiest nights with Riverdale (0.4, 1.24 million viewers) and All American (0.3, 666,000 viewers) both matching their previous episodes.

On NBC, Chicago Med (1.2, 7.48 million viewers) and Chicago Fire (1.3, 7.29 million viewers) held steady with what they had scored a week ago but Chicago P.D. took a small hit and fell a tenth from a 1.1 to a 1.0 demo score and 6.01 million viewers.
