The battle of the singing competition shows has been getting tighter week after week and that race comes in even closer on Monday night between American Idol and The Voice.
On NBC, The Voice averaged a 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic and 8.28 million viewers, down from the 1.8 demo score last week for its lowest Monday mark this season. On FOX, American Idol held steady at a 1.4 demo rating and 7.59 million viewers, giving the two shows their closest head-to-head finish so far this season. (It’s also the last time before the Idol finale they’ll go head to head.)
On The CW, Supergirl was down a tenth week to week (series low 0.4, 1.38 million viewers) as was iZombie (0.2, 710,000 viewers).
On FOX, The Resident was steady week to week with a 0.9 demo rating and 3.92 million viewers. Lucifer (0.7, 2.82 million viewers) also held steady.
On NBC, Good Girls (0.9, 4.14 million viewers) was steady week to week and the same can be said for The Crossing (0.7, 4.24 million viewers) on ABC.
Fun fact about the ratings Monday: CBS aired repeats on Monday and incidentally they performed better than the original CBS programming last week.
