Chris Evans In Talks To Join Little Shop Of Horrors

Chris Evans is in final negotiations to join Greg Berlanti’s Little Shop of Horrors remake & it’s said to be for a key role.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter”, Evans is tapped to play the role of dentist Orin Scrivello, Audrey’s abusive and sadistic boyfriend who finds great pleasure in his chosen profession. The role is flashy (the character loves to use laughing gas) and comes with the scene-stealing signature song, “Dentist!”

Other performers circling roles are Scarlett Johansson and Taron Egerton, who are reportedly being eyed to play Seymour and Audrey. No deals have been made as of yet so nothing is official on their casting. Billy Porter is officially on board, voicing the carnivorous plant.

Little Shop of Horrors is based on the 1960 Roger Corman movie that was adapted into a popular musical in the early 1980s which itself was adapted as a 1986 movie that starred Rick Moranis. Steve Martin played the dentist in that version.

Sounds like a fun role to follow up his turn in Knives Out if the talks all go well. Evans’ post-Marvel career is shaping up nicely indeed.
