Imagine Entertainment and Universal Studios’ 2002 hit Blue Crush is being developed as a series for NBC. The project will be written by Lizzy Weiss and Brian Grazer will executive produce with Francie Calfo.
The original film starred Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sanoe Lake and was directed by John Stockwell, based on the article “Life’s Swell” by Susan Orleans for Outside magazine. The premise of the film followed three best friends living in Hawaii, who live to surf on at the state’s famous North Shore.
