Ben Affleck’s ‘Live by Night’ Enters Oscar Race

There was talk on whether or not Ben Affleck’s latest film Live By Night would enter the Oscar race. That talk can now be put to rest. Warner Bros. announced Tuesday that the adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel will hit select theaters on Christmas Day before opening wide on Jan. 13. It is said Warner’s decided to move up the film’s release after an early cut of the film was screened.

Affleck directed and co-produced the crime drama, in addition to starring opposite Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Chris Cooper.
