Avengers: Endgame Scores Tuesday Best Box Office For A MCU Film

Avengers: Endgame continues its box office dominance with a Tuesday best for an MCU film.

Endgame grossed $33.4 million yesterday and bested the $23.4 Million earned by Avengers: Infinity War on its first Tuesday. Among all Tuesdays, Endgame ranks third behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($37.3 million, Dec. 22, 2015) and Sony’s 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man ($35 million, July 3, 2012).

The key difference between those films and Endgame is that the latest Avengers film is scoring these big weekday grosses without the benefit of the holidays or summer vacation. Endgame is playing like a film released during the Christmas rush or as summer is in full swing and that makes its performance all the more impressive. The running total for Endgame, as of now, is $427.3 million at the domestic box office.
