Armie Hammer Exits Paramount+ The Godfather Series The Offer

Armie Hammer has pulled out of another major project.

As first reported by Variety, the actor will no longer be starring in The Offer, a ten-part limited-series about the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather that will debut on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Just a few weeks ago, Armie Hammer also dropped out of Shotgun Wedding,  the upcoming film that stars Jennifer Lopez . The departure stems from a  social media scandal following the leaking of direct messages that allegedly found the actor describing fantasies which included sexual slavery and cannibalism.

In his own statement, Hammer said,

“I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this, and I’m grateful to them for that.”
