American Idol Rebounds From Season Low On Sunday

After hitting a season-low last Sunday, American Idol rose significantly to its normal levels to win the night.

On ABC, American Idol led the night in the 18-49 demo with a 1.5 demo rating and 7.37 million viewers, up two-tenths of a point from last week. Deception, however, slipped a tenth vs. its last episode to a 0.6 demo rating and 3.38 million viewers.

On CBS, Instinct tied its season low among adults 18-49 and drew a 0.6 rating in the demographic, and 7.19 million viewers, down 0.3 from its last episode two weeks ago. Thus far it appears Instinct is fairly lead-in-dependent but it falters greatly without a bigger show to prop it up. NCIS: Los Angeles was off a tenth at a 0.8 demo rating and 7.50 million viewers while Madam Secretary held steady at a 0.6 demo score and 6.09 million viewers.

On FOX, The Simpsons fell a tenth to a 0.9 demo rating and 2.20 million viewers but the rest of its shows were even with last week: Bob’s Burgers (0.8, 1.63 million viewers), Family Guy (0.9, 2.03 million viewers), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (0.8, 1.74 million viewers) and The Last Man on Earth (0.6, 1.54 million viewers).

On NBC, Timeless was steady with a 0.5 demo rating and 2.36 million viewers.
