American Horror Story Season 8 Will Be Murder House/Coven Crossover

It’s finally happening! After being announced awhile back, it has been confirmed that season 8 of American Horror Story will be a Murder House/Coven crossover.

The news of the crossover was announced two years ago but Ryan Murphy tweeted a confirmation today that the crossover would be happening this September!

Murder House was the initial season of AHS and followed a family in a haunted house, while season 3’s Coven was about a New Orleans school for witches.

It’s still unclear how this will play out in the series, but Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, who both appeared in Murder House and Coven, will be back. Also returning is Kathy Bates while other casting should be revealed soon.

Returning to the worlds of Coven and Murder House also opens the door for Jessica Lange to return to the series. Lange was the star of the first four seasons of American Horror Story but hasn’t appeared on the show starting with Hotel in 2015. Lange’s involvement with American Horror Story remains unclear, but the theme of Season 8 makes her return a possibility.
