American Crime Story Renewed for Third Season and Will Cover Versace Murder

American Crime Story has been renewed for a third season by FX even before its second season has aired. Season 3 will focus on the shocking 1997 assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by killer Andrew Cunanan, all based on the book by Maureen Orth, Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History

The second season will center about Douglas Brinkley’s book, The Great Deluge: HurricaneKatrina, New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

No word yet on when both season 2 and 3 will debut, but we expect it will be in early 2017.
