Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens & Charles Melton Join Bad Boys 4 Life

The cast for the sequel to Bad Boys is starting to take shape. Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudgens & Riverdale’s Charles Melton are joining Will Smith & Martin Lawrence in the film.

Hudgens, Ludwig, and Melton play a modern, highly specialized police unit that collides with the old school Bad Boys (Smith and Martin Lawrence) when a new threat emerges in Miami. Lawrence & Smith have been doing chemistry tests with various talent for the new cast members & these three ended up on top. A villain role is still in the process of being cast.

After breaking out as the villain Cato in The Hunger Games, Ludwig went on to star in such hits as Lone Survivor and Grown Ups 2. Following the show’s first season, Ludwig would go on to join the cast of History Channel’s Vikings and is currently one of the leads of the show, which is currently in its sixth season.

Hudgens has been busy as of late, most recently seen in the Netflix film The Princess Switch and can be seen this Friday in the comedy Second Act opposite Jennifer Lopez. In 2019, she can be seen in the Netflix thriller Polar and also has the next Fox live event, Rent: Live, which premieres on January 27.

Melton can currently be seen as Reggie on CW’s Riverdale and was previously seen in American Horror Story and Glee.

Bad Boys 4 Life is set to start filming next month with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah on hand to direct. As of now, the sequel is slated for a January 17, 2020 release date.
