While the Chucky tv series was in the works and confirmed, there was no confirmation regarding the film franchise’s popular characters Andy and Kyle reprising their roles. However, that changed on Tuesday when Syfy reported that actors Alex Vincent and Christine Elise are both reprising their Child’s Play roles in SYFY/USA’s upcoming Chucky series.
Vincent played the original child protagonist Andy in the first few Child’s Play films, and Elise came into the franchise in Child’s Play 2 as Andy’s foster sister, Kyle.
Here’s the official synopsis for the show itself:
After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
Meanwhile, the Chucky TV show will slash onto SYFY and USA this fall.
