After We Collided (Official Trailer)

The After We Collided trailer is here and the sequel to last year’s surprisingly successful, After, promises more PG-13 steamy romance and a new love triangle that should entice fans.

Tessa (portrayed by Josephine Langford) and Hardin (portrayed by Hero Fiennes Tiffin) are back in the sequel and these former flames are struggling in the aftermath of their split from the first film. While it seems that Tessa and Hardin are still enamored with one another, there’s a new love interest who may derail their reconciliation and he comes in the form of Trevor Matthews, played by Dylan Sprouse.

As seen in the all-new trailer, Tessa and Trevor have a meet-cute involving an elevator on the first day of work. Although Tessa doesn’t leave a great first impression, it’s clear that the two have serious chemistry that may threaten her toxic relationship with Hardin. Based on the 2014 new adult fiction of the same name from Anna Todd, the sequel is directed by Roger Kumble, who is no stranger to directing steamy teenage films having helmed Cruel Intentions.

So how did After get a sequel? Despite middling reviews and a domestic gross that topped out at $12.1 million, the film was pretty huge overseas which brought its worldwide total to $69.7 million on a mere $14 million budget. That’s more than enough to warrant a sequel.

After We Collided hits theatres and VOD on October 2 and you can check out 3 brand new key posters for the film below
