A Million Little Things Dips In Week 2

Despite some solid delayed viewing lifts, A Million Little Things saw its live ratings take a dip in week 2.

On ABC, the drama dropped to a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.81 million viewers. It will be interesting to see if the series sees another jump in delayed viewing but ABC was expecting much better live ratings for the series and the dip is not encouraging.

Earlier in the ABC evening, comedies The Goldbergs (1.3, 5.11 million viewers), American Housewife (1.1, 4.43 million viewers) and Modern Family (1.4, 5.35 million viewers) were only down incrementally from their week-ago premieres. The news was pretty encouraging for their new comedy Single Parents which only dipped slightly by two tenths to a 1.1 demo rating and 4.28 million viewers.

On FOX, Empire topped the night as usual but it dropped four tenths to a 1.5 demo rating and 5.01 million viewers. Star fared much better after, dipping only a tenth to a 1.3 demo rating and 4.04 million viewers. Despite the drops, the night is proving to be a solid choice for FOX.

On NBC, The Chicago line-up put up good numbers with Chicago Fire matching its premiere last week with a 1.3 demo rating and 7.99 million viewers. Chicago Med followed and was up a tenth to a 1.3 demo rating and 8.75 million viewers. Chicago PD ended the night with a 1.2 demo rating and 7.76 million viewers, matching last week’s numbers.

On CBS, the returning dramas came back low with SEAL Team hitting a 0.8 demo rating and 5.08 million viewers. Criminal Minds fared even worse with a 0.7 demo rating and 4.44 million viewers.
