Last week AMPAS announced their nominations for the 94th Academy Awards. Among the nominations included Dune, The Power of the Dog, Belfast, Don’t Look Up, and Licorice Pizza. While a great selection of films, a film that many non-pundits felt had a strong chance to land a Best Picture nomination was the highest grossing film of 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Well, despite not being nominated, the film can still receive recognition by the Academy, sort of. The Academy announced on Monday via The Hollywood Reporter that you’ll be able to vote for your favorite movie of 2021 on Twitter, with the winner being recognized at the Oscars.
