2016 Box Office Crosses $11B for Another Record Year

Another milestone has been hit at the Box Office in 2016. Those who feel concerned about attendance in theaters because of streaming methods have exaggerated the situation. It is expected that the total gross projection for the North American box office in 2016 will be $11.3 billion. Revenue for 2016 crossed an estimated $11.05 billion Monday and is on the verge of eclipsing the record $11.14 billion set in 2015 to end the year with $11.3 billion, according to projections from industry leader comScore.

One of the reasons for this year’s massive success is thanks to Disney. With Zootopia, The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the box office gross can thank the most magical company in the world for that.
