Younger Will Air Its Seventh & Final Season On Paramount+

The fan-favorite series Younger is officially coming to an end but the show will be switching homes for its final season.

Younger was renewed for a seventh season by ViacomCBS’ TV Land in July of 2019 but the final season will now premiere and air on the Paramount+ streaming service rather than the cable network. Created by Darren Star and produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, the final season will consist of 12 episodes but those who don’t want to invest in Paramount+, fear not. Younger’s final season will air on TV Land lat this year. The first six seasons will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Chris McCarthy, President of MTV Entertainment Group, had this to say about the final season:

“With Younger, Darren Star has done it oncr again, creating a generational defining series that has captured millions of fans who are craving more and we are excited to pay that off with the final season Paramount+”

Younger follows Liza Miller (Sutton Foster), a talented editor navigating the highly competitive world of publishing and dealing with the added pressure of dealing with facing the lie she created about her age in order to land her dream job. The series also stars Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Charles Michael Davis, Peter Hermann, and Molly Bernard.

The Younger universe is expected to continue with Hilary Duff. It was announced last year that a spinoff starring Duff’s character was in the works when the star signed an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios.
