Wonder Woman and Pennywise Top the List of 2017 Halloween Costumes

Every Halloween, film plays a vital role in influencing the masses on what they’ll wear on the holiday. This year is no different with the #1 costumes this season – Wonder Woman for women and Pennywise for men. Fandango surveyed 1,000 moviegoers this past month and asked which costumes they’d be wearing, with choices limited to characters from films of the past year.

Women chose more heroic characters. Behind Wonder Woman was Belle from Emma Watson’s recent incarnation and Princess Leia from Star Wars. Men gravitated toward horror and Pennywise the Clown from It. Some surprising choices were Ansel Elgort’s Baby in Baby Driver and Cate Blanchett’s Hela from Thor: Ragnarok which hasn’t even hit theaters yet.
