Wonder Pushed to November

Lionsgate has decided to push back the release date for its upcoming book adaptation, Wonder. Starring Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay (Room), Wonder tells the story of a young boy (Tremblay) with a facial deformity who attends school for the first time in the eighth grade and begins to deal with bullies. Directed by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), the film is based on the bestselling novel by R.J. Palacio and will also star Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin, Sonia Braga, and Daveed Diggs.

Wonder JuliaIt will hit theaters now on November 17th as family films tend to get noticed more in November. A possible downside to its box office success could be it releases the same day as Warner Bros.’ Justice League.
