During a recent screening of Riverdale‘s next two episodes featuring Molly Ringwald as Archie’s mother Mary Andrews, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa hinted that another death may be coming to the small fictional town.
“Yes, there is truth to that rumor,” Aguirre-Sacasa said but would give no other information nor confirm who it might be. Riverdale has already been greenlit for a second season and another death could provide a story arch for it.
Aguirre-Sacasa did say that the season finale would be quite “the ultimate Riverdale episode” stating that,
“It has all of the different elements that are great about the show combined into one, meaning there’s music in it, there’s romance, there’s suspense and horror. A lot of it will focus on the relationships… on Betty and Jughead and Archie and Veronica.”
If you’ve been watching, who do you think might get killed off? Our theory has it could be Jughead’s dad played by Scream heartthrob Skeet Ulrich. Another member of the Blossom family would be too obvious or perhaps it could be Betty’s dad, Hal. He’s been stirring the pot up lately.
