Evangeline Lilly confirmed that Wasp is coming to Avengers 4 in 2019. At a panel over the weekend at New York Comic-Con, Lilly discussed her superhero’s upcoming involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Wasp will be featured in the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp set to debut on July 6, 2018 followed by her appearance in Avengers 4 sometime in 2019. She dismissed rumors that she would appear in Avengers: Infinity War coming out in May 2018.
Lilly went on to explain that the Ant-Man sequel will further develop her characters in preparation for her collaboration with the Avengers in the fourth film of the series.
“I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle and put on the suit and fly about and do her thing. The Wasp won’t be in the first part [Avengers: Infinity War]. She’ll be in the second part because they really want to preserve that reveal for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ so that they can give it its due time.”
We can’t wait to see her suit up.
