Wandavision To Pay Homage To The Office & Other Classic Sitcoms

For the first time since 2008, a calendar year will be absent of a Marvel film. Thankfully,  Disney+ is ready to help our appetites early on in the new year with the release of WandaVision, the first of several MCU TV shows that have been developed for the Disney+ streaming service. While that should be enough to create excitement, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased that subsequent episodes will be touching on more modern sitcoms, such as The Office and Modern Family,

I loved TV, and watched far too much The Dick Van Dyke Show and I Love Lucy and Bewitched and everything. We go up to the Modern Family and The Office style. The talk-to-the-camera, shaky-camera, documentary style.

In addition to having fun with sitcoms, Kevin Feige also teased that WandaVision will be diving into just who Wanda Maximoff is, as well as exploring her powers,

“If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff,”

WandaVision will debut on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
