Wallis Day To Play Kate Kane In Batwoman

Fans that were wondering what will be the outcome of the Kate Kane character on Batwoman had those questions answered during Sunday night’s episode. While Javicia Leslie’s as Ryan Wilder is still donning the cape and cowl, last night’s episode set up the new Kate Kane who will now be played by Wallis Day.

The second half of the season will reveal where Kate has been, and what that means for her character moving forward. At the end of last night’s episode, it is revealed that Kate Kane is alive but unrecognizable due to injuries she sustained in the crash.

When Ruby Rose left the show, Variety reported that

“the show simply wasn’t the right fit for its star & the production. Rose was unhappy with the long hours required of her as a series lead, which led to a lot of friction on set. As this tension escalated, it was decided by her, the network, and studio, Warner Bros. Television, that a parting of ways was best.”

As for the new Kate Kane, Wallis Day was one of the leads in Krypton during the shows small run.
