Christian Bale is set to get political and showcase his usual ability to fluctuate his weight in the new trailer for Vice, a new film helmed by Adam McKay and has the actor portraying Dick Cheney.
The trailer suggests that Cheney is one of the most important figures on the world stage, but one still poorly understood. From the looks and sound of it, Bale nails all of Cheney’s signature mannerisms and monotone of the man who would become Vice President under President George W. Bush.
The film’s cast also includes Sam Rockwell, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Jesse Plemons, Alison Pill, Lily Rabe, and Tyler Perry. With its wide release on Christmas Day, the film could also be an Oscar player, although it hasn’t made pre-release waves just yet.
