Hulu has dropped the teaser trailer for the Veronica Mars revival & it’s sure to please fans of the original series.

“When your best friend is murdered before your 17th birthday, you don’t develop a keen sense of mercy.” Kristin Bell kicks off the teaser trailer for the Veronica Mars revival, which was unveiled today during Hulu’s Upfront presentation in New York City. The hourlong limited series hails from the cult fave’s original’s creator Rob Thomas, who will pen the first episode. In the revival, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
Little fun fact, this revival was filmed in my neck of the woods of Hermosa Beach, CA. The Sea Sprite Motel featured in the teaser is an actual motel on the boardwalk in the city. That “Miami” spring break is where I hang out on the weekends on a regular basis.
Veronica Mars premieres July 26 on Hulu.
