Venom Passes Justice League’s Worldwide Box Office Total

While Venom failed to impress critics, it’s made quite the impact at the box office. Its most recent release in China has lead the film to surpass a huge DC property.

Venom has officially grossed $673.5 million worldwide and has surpassed DC’s Justice League, which topped off at $657.9 million. One of the impressive feats by Venom is when you factor in the budget of both films. Venom took about $100 million to make, which is fairly low by today’s superhero standards. Justice League, on the other hand, cost three times as much to complete.

The success of Venom at the box office is sure to greenlight a sequel for the Sony film.
