Upcoming Planet of The Apes To Be A Complete Reboot

A few months ago it was reported that the Planet of the Apes franchise was set to return after Disney purchased Fox. At the time of the news, it wasn’t clear if Disney would continue beyond what Matt Reeves set up at the end of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes, or if they would choose to once again reboot the franchise.

Unfortunately, the news is not great for fans of the masterful Matt Reeves trilogy. According to a new report, it’s now being stated that the new Planet of the Apes will indeed be a complete reboot. Wes Ball (The Maze Runner), who is behind the projected previously said it will honor

“what’s come before.”

We’ll soon find out what he meant by that and if what comes before is just another reboot of the 1968 film.
