Twister Reboot In The Works At Universal Pictures

Time to experience some crazy weather yet again. It has been announced that Universal Pictures is in talks to reboot the disaster flick, Twister.

Heading into the eye of the storm is most likely Top Gun: Maverick helmer Joseph Kosinski, who is in early talks to direct. Frank Marshall will produce the film and the studio is currently meeting with writers to write the script. The original film is a true summer blockbuster popcorn flick that still holds up today. The movie starred Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt as storm chasers and a couple on the brink of divorce. They team up to chase tornadoes in order to deliver their advance weather alert system that has to be placed in the path of the Twister.

The film was a massive hit, grossing $494 million worldwide & it became popular for its ground-breaking special effects. Speed director Jan De Bont directed the first film which was produced by Steven Spielberg and written by the late Michael Crichton.
