This past weekend at the box office may have shown that the Transformers money train may have come to an end. While Paramount’s Transformers: The Last Knight took the #1 spot this weekend as expected, the opening was lowest the franchise has seen thus far by a significant margin as a lot of attention will now turn toward the film’s international run. While Transformers struggled at the box office, Wonder Woman is still tearing up the box office as it has now become the highest grossing release of the DC Extended Universe and the highest grossing action film directed by a woman. Disney’s Cars 3 came in second place in a tie with the previously mentioned Wonder Woman.
