Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) will join Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) in Sony’s Chaos Walking. Directed by Doug Liman (Mr. and Mrs. Smith), Chaos Walking is based on the best-selling young adult science fiction book series by Patrick Ness.
It’s a dystopian thriller about two children, Todd Hewitt and Viola Eade, who must face various high stakes while their planet erupts into war. In this world, all thoughts are projected in a stream of sounds and images called “noise.” There are three books in the series and it may be Sony’s hope that it will turn into the next Hunger Games franchise.
No set release date yet, but it is expected out in theaters sometime in 2018.
