Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man 3 to Begin Filming in Atlanta in July

Tom Holland has confirmed that Spider-Man 3 will begin filming in July while speaking to Inquirer.net. Production will begin in Atlanta, though it will also take place in other locations, including Iceland. In addition to confirming the July start, Holland described the film’s story as “absolutely insane,” and confirmed Zendaya will be returning as Michelle “MJ” Jones. This will mark the sixth appearance of Holland’s Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since his debut in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.

Holland is expected to reprise his role as the web-slinger in another MCU film in addition to Spider-Man 3. The film is set to pick up from last summer’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, which ended on a cliffhanger, where audiences last saw Peter’s identity being revealed to the whole world after he was framed by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

Spider-Man 3 has a planned release date of July 16, 2021.
