The Walking Dead universe is set to expand once again with the new spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and AMC has released the first teaser for the new series.
The third installment of the Walking Dead universe will feature Julia Ormond as a character named Elizabeth, who is described as “the charismatic leader of a large, sophisticated and formidable force.” She will join a cast that includes Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, and Nico Tortorella. The official logline reads as follows:
“Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”
The Walking Dead: World Beyond is co-created by Scott M. Gimple and Showrunner Matt Negrete. Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series is executive produced by Gimple and Negrete, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, and Brian Bockrath.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere in the Spring of 2020.
