Gothic fiction gets a modern update in the first trailer for The Turning, starring Finn Wolfhard & Mackenzie Davis.
The film looks to update Henry James’ classic ghost story “The Turn of the Screw.” The film tells the story of a nanny in the Maine countryside (Davis), who gets a job caring for two disturbed orphans (Wolfhard and Brooklyn Prince) and quickly discovers that both the children and their home are harboring ghastly secrets.
The film comes from The Conjuring writers Chad and Carey W. Hayes and is helmed by The Runaways director Floria Sigismondi. Joley Richarson rounds out the supporting cast.
The Turning hits screens on January 24, 2020.
