Get ready to quack! again Mighty Ducks fans. Disney+ has set a premiere date for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers and it’s just around the corner.
The 10-episode series will premiere on the streamer on March 26, 2021. The Mighty Ducks you came to know and alone in the first two films have evolved beyond their scrappy underdog status and are now an ultra-competitive powerhouse team. The new team is now so cutthroat that ax 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) and that leads to the creation of a new team for fans to root for.
Franchise mainstay Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) steps in to help Evan’s mom, played by Lauren Graham, by offering up his Ice Palace so that Even and a new team of scrappy underdogs can challenge the “win at all costs” culture of today’s youth sports and “rediscover the joy of playing just for the love of the game.” A teaser trailer that also reveals the series’ premiere date can be seen at the top of this story.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers comes almost three decades after the first film ad is set in present-day Minnesota. Also rounding out the cast are Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham, and DJ Watts.
