The Invisible Man (Official Trailer)

The first trailer for the Blumhouse resurrection of the classic Universal Pictures horror franchise, The Invisible Man, has dropped and it definitely shows that what you can’t see, can really hurt you as it lurks in the shadows.

In the film, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) is trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist (Oliver Jackson-Cohen). She escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, but when Cecilia’s abusive ex commits suicide, he leaves her a big chunk from his vast fortune. There is a catch however that is revealed in the film’s trailer:  “You’re getting $5 million,” the lawyer says, “contingent, of course, on the fine print: You can’t be ruled to be mentally incompetent.”

Cecilia’s mental stability will be put to the test because she feels his death was a hoax as a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves. Her sanity is put into question when she begins to state that she is being threatened by something that can’t be seen.

Harriet Dyer and Storm Reid also star in the film from writer-director-EP Leigh Whannell (the Insidious films, Saw) with producers Jason Blum and Kylie du Fresne.

The Invisible Man hits screens on February 27, 2020
