The Goldbergs George Segal Passes Away At 87

I’ve been a fan of The Goldbergs since its premiere 8 years ago and has remained one of my favorite shows on television today. Along with the nostalgia, the relationships created on the show were not to miss, especially Adam and Pops. Unfortunately, that relationship will no longer be able to be enjoyed by everyone as the legendary George Segal, has died at 87. Deadline reported that the cause of death was complications from recent bypass surgery.

For those unaware, Segal was an acclaimed Academy Award nominee who starred in,  Who’s Afraid of Virginia WoolfKing RatThe Owl, and the PussycatRollercoasterA Touch of ClassThe Terminal ManCalifornia SplitThe Hot RockCarbon Copy (famous for being Denzel Washington’s screen debut) plus later appearances in Look Who’s Talking (he was Mikey’s deadbeat dad), To Die ForThe Cable Guy, NBC’s Just Shoot Me. Before

Segal will be missed.
